Vitamin E is an essential fat soluble vitamin that cannot be manufactured by the body. It must be obtained from the diet or through supplementation. Dietary sources of vitamin E are vegetable oils, wheat germ, whole grain products, seeds and nuts. Freezing and deep-fat frying destroy most of the vitamin E present.
Kordel’s Natural Vitamin E contains a natural form of vitamin E, d-alpha tocopherol, which is very readily absorbed. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant. It helps improve vitality and reduce fatigue by increasing the oxygen-carrying capacity of haemoglobin in the red blood cells.
Vitamin E is the most abundant fat-soluble antioxidant in the body. It helps to scavenge free radicals, ending the free radical chain reaction before vital cells are harmed. Free radicals are unstable molecules produced by the body, especially in the energy generation process. Free radicals, if not removed, can cause tissue damage at the cellular level -- harming our DNA, mitochondria (energy producer in the cell), and cell membrane. Free radicals are believed to be one of the culprits behind many degenerative diseases.
Vitamin E also protects vitamins A and C from oxidation, thus maintaining their potency.
HEART & CIRCULATORY HEALTH
Vitamin E provides significant benefit in protecting against heart diseases. Studies have found that vitamin E improves blood flow to the extremities and also manages blood cholesterol levels. Some data indicates that vitamin E has the ability to increase the levels of high density lipoproteins (HDL, the “good” cholesterol) in men and women with initially low levels of this lipoprotein.
Vitamin E reduces the tendency of blood platelet clumping and improves blood flow.
Vitamin E maintains healthy skin. It protects our cell membrane from free radical damage. Free radical can lead to premature skin aging.
Vitamin E helps heal wounds and reduces internal and external scar formation. Kordel’s Natural Vitamin E can be taken orally or punctured so that the oil can be applied locally to the injury after a scab has formed.
NATURAL SOURCE OF VITAMIN E
There are two types of vitamin E, “d” or “dl” form. The “d” form is natural while “dl” is synthetic. Kordel’s Vitamin E is composed of d-alpha tocopherol, the natural and most effective form of vitamin E.
